What does one of the top wedding event planner’s wedding look like? We give you Lauryn Prattes’ wedding. This was one for the books. The parisian glam theme flowed throughout the entire day with each and every detail blowing you away.
We met Lauryn through a photo shoot and realized later that we had met briefly at an Engaged Conference a few years back. One of my favorite things about Lauryn is that she is always dressed to the nines and ready to go out for any occasion. She is so put together and on top of it, but at the same time one of the sweetest gals I know. We love, love working with her. Her creativity and follow through continually inspire us. She hired us to do the calligraphy for her wedding and we could not have been more honored. Below are the projects we worked on to help bring this french dream of a wedding to life!
Project #1 // Invitation Suite: We did the digital art for invitation and hand calligraphy for belly bands & envelopes. I used our our gold ink & our nibs in Nikko G.
Project #2 // Patisserie Menu: I drew the icons by hand and then they were digitally colored in and printed as a large menu print.
Project # 3 // Seated Menu and Name: We did the names on the menus by hand and the digital art for the menus themselves.
Project #4 // Just Married Sign: We did the sign on poster board and cut it out in the shape of the banner about 26” across then wrote on it by hand with this gold paint pen.
Project #5 // Macaron “cheers” in coup cups: We wrote on the macarons (see how to do that in this post) and also created the laser cut arrows. The macarons were from our favorite, Buttercream Bakeshop!
Lauryn, we adore you! You truly made the most beautiful bride and your wedding was out of this world. Cheers to the best adventure yet!
