Desiree from Desiree Spinner Events shares her inspiring tips for creating a coastal Thanksgiving table – no matter where your locale!
From Desiree…Entertaining and cooking for your guests on Thanksgiving may seem like a lot of work, but I say go for it! Host that family dinner, especially if you are newlyweds. This is the perfect holiday to show off your new place and use that mixer you got for a wedding gift.
Far from the ocean this Thanksgiving? This doesn’t mean you can’t use the coast as your inspiration. Your guests will be surprised and delighted that you tried something new.
I used natural burlap fabric for the table runner, gold chairs that remind me of the brass on old ships and a touch of pink reminiscent of a New England sunset.
We think the result is magnificent!
Desiree also recommends letting your guests know the menu in advance so those with dietary restrictions can plan accordingly. She pulled from one of our golden invitation suites for her own print inspiration!
We particularly think you can never go wrong with place cards ~ everyone can be thankful when they don’t have to awkwardly decide where to sit! Here we’ve used gold ink on simple white place cards.
