We have been excitedly overwhelmed with the response to our Calligraphy Starter Kits! Your enthusiasm for an introduction to the beautiful art of calligraphy in inspiring and such a joy to see. We are happy to report that a large portion of our first 250 kits are making their way around the world, with the remainder heading out this week.
Here we are sharing a few pics to get those of you {that have never used a calligraphy pen holder and nib} you started once your set arrives. The straight pen went out to our left-handed learners and the oblique pen holders to the right-handed learners.

Once your pen & nib are set up, you can practice holding it at the 55 degree angle described in the worksheets. It is helpful to practice strokes with a pencil first to get used to the angle and motions, then begin using your pen with ink. Here I am demonstrating the angle to hold your pen.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here and I will answer as many as possible! If there are questions asked multiple times, we will do a frequently asked questions post to address those as the most common.
Good luck, and if you don’t have your own kit yet, you can order one here!
