Earlier this year we were able to visit Chicago for 2 more rounds of our beginner calligraphy workshop. We covered the oblique calligraphy pen, got started with some practice strokes to start getting used to utilizing the pen to achieve the fine hairlines and thick swells that are characteristic of pointed pen calligraphy, and then we jumped into Laura’s Copperplate Alphabet. Seats in our 2016 workshops are available now with an Intermediate course included as well!

For our second visit to Chicago, we found this amazing creative co-op space called Workshop Chicago. We connected with Fleur Inc to provide florals and Elysia Root Cakes for some sweet treats, but the best part was that we finally got to meet our Instagram friend Jenna Kutcher in real life! We basically come to “know” so many collaborators through social media then email eventually text…but it’s the real deal when we finally get to meet in person.
