Thank you for your interest in our Laura Hooper Calligraphy beginner workshops! We are heading into the final stretch of our 2016 workshop schedule & are looking forward to all the new students we will meet in next year. For our 2017 Spring/Summer tour, we plan to visit DC {Alexandria}, New York City, London, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston & Los Angeles, and you can sign up for these cities NOW on our website!
While we wish we could teach in every city, we unfortunately are not able to given our current workload, upcoming projects & preserving some weekends off to spend with our families and friends. We have chosen to scale back on the number of workshops offered in 2017 and therefore do expect that they could sell out early. We would love to share the art of modern calligraphy with you & recommend signing up as soon as possible if you are hoping to join us in any of these cities!
Some notes on our workshops…
Our beginner’s workshop in modern pointed-pen calligraphy will provide you with high-quality tools for the art, but more importantly teach you how to use them, cover basics in practice strokes and technique, as well as cover a full alphabet. Laura carries over a decade of experience as a professional calligrapher, and we have taught over 3,200 students since 2014. If you are just starting out {yes, even if you have never seen a calligraphy pen in person!} or are looking for hands-on tips and techniques to improve your beginner’s hand, these workshops are for you.
