Last week I posted the 8-page spread of my own wedding in the current issue of INSIDE WEDDINGS, so this week I thought I would share some more photos of the details but also some of my personal favorites! Thank you again to the wonderful Beth Helmstetter of Beth Helmstetter Events who designed and coordinated the entire 3-day weekend of events and to the Steve Steinhardt photography team for capturing it all! With so many to share, I am breaking it up into two posts….starting with theceremony!
Guests were greeted in Kona with a welcome tote for their weekend. The tote included local snacks, a shawl for the ladies and of course a custom LHC map!
Our family had stayed at the Plantation House all week, and when wedding day came around, my bridesmaids and I were able to get ready in the guest house.
{my mom’s garter from my parents’ wedding that my sister had worn at her own wedding 6 months prior also!}
I was all ready to see my soon-to-be husband!
As the ladies prepared, the guys got ready in the main house.
We had decided on a first look, and it was most definitely a special moment for us both.
After taking a few couple shots, I hid away and anxiously awaited the ceremony! Our guests arrived to custom LHC signage and a guest book to leave notes for us. The book featured our invitation/wedding design that had been tied throughout the printed material. The programs were hand assembled by my mom and my dad assembled all the signage once we arrived in Hawaii.
{this sign included the home cities of all the guests to traveled to share this day with us ~
it now finds its own home in our backyard!}
Each guest received a fresh, local lei and strolled to the gorgeous ocean front ceremony location. The ceremony was beautifully designed by Beth and her team and included the most delicate strands of seashells providing the backdrop. The sweet sounds were a soothing background during the ceremony.
Once everyone hand assembled, it was time to begin! My dad escorted me down the aisle and Jeremy and I exchanged vows against the beautiful Hawaiian backdrop.
{I love this sweet shot of my parents’ clasped hands during the ceremony!}
After a lovely ceremony infused with traditional Hawaiian wedding elements, we were now man & wife!
And as the sun began to set on our most beautiful of days, there was nothing left to do but celebrate! More on that tomorrow!
