Real Wedding: Intimate Elopement at the D.C. War Memorial with Tell Chronicles Photography

When Lorena came to us to custom design the invitation suite for her and Nesta’s intimate elopement, they were just two months out from their wedding day. She knew just what she wanted – romantic, airy…deckled edges. The catch? They only needed about 10 sets and didn’t have enough time to source the handmade paper and go with letterpress, etc & still meet a reasonable date to get the invitations in the mail. We got to work on the custom design right away and decided to go with digital printing and then we hand-deckled each piece of the suite. Since it was only 10 sets, we did all of the envelope addressing {including return addresses} by hand so we could start those while the suite was off at the printer and got the whole thing turned around in three weeks from the day she initially reached out.
The set turned out beautifully and most importantly the bride adored it and it set the tone for their whole celebration. The couple got married at the D.C War Memorial, which we actually didn’t even know you could do, and it was just a romantic, beautiful ceremony. The bride has since joked that it took more vendors to pull everything together just as they had envisioned than the number of guests they had attending.
