Today’s real wedding stationery set design is the perfect feature as we welcome the start of the spring wedding season and are beginning to see flowers bloom. This garden-inspired custom wedding invitation suite was perfect for a summer wedding. Using a color palette in pastel shades of peach and sage green kept things with their overall wedding invitation suite light and airy while gold foil accents elevated the floral design and took it to the next level, providing that wow-factor for guests.
Each piece in this luxurious invitation suite was intentional and carefully selected to help guests plan their visit to Washington, DC for this destination wedding. From the invitation to the RSVP card to the custom drawn map, the eclectic-yet-cohesive design of each of the suite’s pieces came together to provide interest and help share the couple’s excitement about their wedding with their guests.
Making A Standout Statement
Evie and Emmanuel really wanted to have a wedding that was unique and wasn’t like any other wedding. When they first came to us, they were originally thinking of a green and dusty rose color palette for their wedding design and invitations.
In their initial custom invitation design meetings, we suggested using peach instead, as dusty rose is so commonly used in weddings. Peach is a soft and delicate color that gives an overall look and feel similar to dusty rose, and it pairs well with the sage green that the clients wanted for their wedding invitation suite. Our clients loved our recommendation to sub peach for dusty rose, and it helped to set their wedding stationery apart. The peach provided the softness and just the uniqueness they were looking for!
In addition to color choice, using a colored envelope for your wedding invitation is a great way to make a statement with your wedding invitation suite. For this romantic garden-inspired wedding invitation suite with lots of florals and touches of gold, we used sage green envelopes with white custom calligraphy. The white calligraphy popped while the sage green made just the right statement that the couple was going for in their wedding invitations.
Florals & Gold Ties It All Together
An array of floral motifs with a mix of gold foil, plus full-color digital printing was used on each of the custom wedding stationery elements. The main wedding invitation card featured both line art and watercolor florals in soft pastel shades as a border to help frame the invitation information and included our hand calligraphy for the couple’s name and venue in gold. In addition, a custom monogram wax seal was used on the vellum to wrap the invitation and its pieces together for mailing.
One of our favorite details from this wedding invitation suite that we custom-designed is the gold foil floral line drawing envelope liner for the main envelope. To help tie the whole suite together for a cohesive look, the gold florals were repeated as a border on the RSVP card. It is small details like this that make your wedding stationery stand out to your guests and help to get everyone excited.
Not to be outdone, an oval-shaped wedding details card stood out in the lovely sage green with white printing and a line drawing floral border. A custom-drawn map of the city of Washington, D.C. was also included in the suite to help their out-of-town guests find their way. Not only did this information provide the necessary details for guests, but also added another element to bring the entire invitation suite together.
