We were so honored back in July when Claudia of Fig. 2 Design approached us to be part of her Letters for Love project. In May she launched a series of greeting cards called The Letters for Love Project where calligraphers donate their talents and Fig. 2 Design takes care of the production, marketing, and sales of the cards. and then donates a portion of the proceeds of each sale to a charity.
We immediately knew we wanted to be on board and are so excited that the line has launched! You can purchase the Love by Laura Hooper card right here, right now!
Just last week Claudia announced that the charity receiving the proceeds for this current line is Sweaters for Sustenance. Here are some words from their founder, John Allen, on the story about the organization:
In 2004, a year after my father passed, I wanted to do something to engage my community of Washington, DC. With my family’s help, I started delivering used winter clothes and meals to the homeless during the Christmas and Holiday season. My motto has always been to Seize the Day and make life extraordinary, but what if I could dedicate my holidays to making the lives of those less fortunate extraordinary too? And so this initiative became an annual event the more people we involve, the more lives we will touch.
So if you are so inclined, head on over to the Fig. 2 Design shop and get started on your Valentine’s Day cards a little early this year!
You can see the entire Letters for Love Collection here. Thank you Claudia for bringing us on board and all the other wonderful calligraphers, too!
