Dear Friends,
As most of you know, I was born in Los Angeles and Southern California has been my home for my entire life. Laura Hooper Calligraphy grew out of my apartment, to my parents’ home in Northridge and finally to my own studio in Hermosa for the past few years.
I truly love the South Bay and all that is has to offer (perfect weather, beautiful views and delicious eats to name a few), so it is with mixed emotions that I share with you all that my wonderful husband, Jeremy, and I are relocating to the Washington, D.C. area! Jeremy has been offered and accepted a once-in-a-lifetime job opportunity, and it is such an honor that he was selected for this position. In turn we have decided to travel cross-country with our two pups, Kepler & Tycho, to start a new adventure on the East Coast.
For the past 10 years, I have collaborated with clients and planners from around the world and will continue to do so. As a family-run business, Laura Hooper Calligraphy will continue operations out of both Southern California and the D.C. area. I am looking forwarding to continuing my relationships with my SoCal colleagues as well as developing new friendships in the D.C./New England area.
I have been slowing down my workload in preparation for the move (I know, if you follow me on Instagram it might not look like it!), and we will officially be moving July 3-12. I will have limited access to email during that time, but hello@lhcalligraphy.com will remain the best way to get in contact with me.
During July I will be setting up shop in the DC area and will be accepting new clients once again beginning in August.
