Are you planning a winter wedding and searching for color palette inspiration and unique touches to add to your wedding invitation? If you are looking for a way to elevate your wedding day stationery with personalized details and luxurious materials, you are going to love today’s custom wedding stationery suite we designed for an inviting winter wedding in Washington, D.C.
A rich and luxurious color palette, custom artwork, gold foil detailing, velvet accents and custom blind embossing are just a few of the special touches we incorporated to create a warm, luxe and ultra personalized invitation suite for our couple’s winter wedding day.
Luxurious Accents
To set the stage for their Washington, D.C. wedding day, our couple Christine and Patrick incorporated many details for their wedding stationery set design. Upon receiving their wedding invitation, their wedding guests are greeted with a rich burgundy envelope with elegant gold hand calligraphy addressing. This was a call back to the gold foil printed and burgundy save-the-date wedding invitations bookmarks that guests had received a few months prior.
The main wedding invitation card was printed on thick card stock with a gold beveled edge and gold foil lettering for an elegant look and feel. A custom designed wedding monogram and floral wreath anchored the wedding invitation card. The back of these wedding invitation cards featured a luxurious burgundy velvet to accent the winter season. Creating texture with gold foil and velvet accents can go a long way in elevating your wedding day stationery.
Personalized Details
Another easy and thoughtful way to elevate your wedding stationery is to make them personal. We love creating unique wedding invitation sets with stand out details, like the custom bookmark save the date wedding invitations we created for Christine and Patrick’s winter wedding. Gold foil text popped on the burgundy colored bookmarks that featured a blind emboss pattern. A unique and functional wedding memory!
This same blind embossed pattern was featured on the front of the wedding details card that was included with the wedding invitation for a cohesive look. This pattern was created from a detail of the cathedral where Christine and Patrick tied the knot. St. Patrick’s Catholic Church is a historic landmark in Washington, D.C. with a stunning stained glass window on the front of the cathedral. An inked print of the church was used as a custom wedding invitation envelope liner and was the inspiration for the blind impressions across the wedding stationery.
While these may seem like simple details, the extra personal touches help your wedding stationery stand out and carry even more meaning.
A special thanks to Sarah Bradshaw for photographing this wedding invitation suite with velvet and gold details that we custom-designed for our couple’s winter wedding in Washington, D.C.
