We love working with our clients to design their custom wedding stationery but love it even more when we get to create custom artwork to personalize their wedding invitation suites and day of wedding paper details. Today’s high-end ultra-personalized wedding stationery features hand-painted custom watercolor floral motifs, a custom monogram crest, and a custom portrait of the bride and groom’s dog. Shades of light green and light blue set the tone for this early summer wedding in San Diego, California while gold foil accents elevated the floral designs that really popped against the pastel tones of the entire wedding stationery set.
Custom Watercolor Design
Choosing one element to repeat across your wedding invitation suite and day of the wedding paper details can help create cohesion in your wedding stationery design.
For Isabella and Brendan’s summer wedding day, that one tone-setting design element was the custom floral watercolor art that we created. From save the dates to signage to escort cards, we were able to incorporate their elegant luxury garden-inspired watercolor art throughout all of their wedding day paper goods. Their custom watercolor floral design in a lattice pattern with leaves in shades of green and florals in shades of blue was created for the wedding invitation’s envelope liner to add an extra pop of color. Similar floral watercolor patterns were featured on the wedding invitation and the rehearsal dinner invitation, as well as a border on the welcome cards and details cards.
We are thrilled to share photos from Sarah Bradshaw of this personalized whimsical garden wedding invitation set that we custom-designed with light green, dusty blue, gold and floral details for an elegant summer wedding in San Diego, CA.
A Touch Of Gold
Gold foil accents popped against the pastel blues and greens of this custom wedding invitation suite. A bit of metallic gold can elevate any wedding stationery and add a bit more elegance. It was the perfect color combination choice for the custom-designed monogram using the bride and groom’s initials. This monogram crest became another repeating design element that was showcased on a number of wedding stationery items. The main invitation card featured the crest as a focal point, along with the wedding ceremony programs. The same crest and watercolor wreath were also featured on the wedding day menus.
The custom wedding stationery suite features both digital and letterpress printing. The invitation suite in extra thick paper included die-cut pieces that mimicked the wedding weekend’s hotel venue decor and dusty blue letterpress wording and gold foil crest. A floral printed pocket wrap held all the important wedding invitation pieces together and was sealed with a custom monogram wax seal.
Wedding Day Stationery Extras
The same gold foil and watercolor floral designs we created for the wedding invitation suite were carried into the day of the wedding details. From the wedding menus and table number signs to custom cocktail napkins and signature drink bar sign, not a single detail was overlooked in this high end wedding stationery design. The couple’s monogram and floral pattern was even used on custom playing cards!
In addition to the custom wedding invitation suite, a custom wedding itinerary map was created so guests would know exactly where to go for all of the wedding weekend events and know all of the timeline details for the celebration.
As a special personalized detail, a custom watercolor portrait of the bride and groom’s dog, Brody, was included on cocktail napkins at the wedding reception. Another set of custom napkins featured the couple’s monogram crest shield and floral design.
Pup Brody even had a signature cocktail named after him during the cocktail hour and reception. We love when couples include such personalized details on their wedding day!
