There is something magical about a winter wedding during the holiday season! Rich textures from greenery, deep and vibrant color palettes and warm candlelight glow to warm a snowy day make for a beautiful wedding day as was the case for Juliet and Will’s December wedding in Washington, D.C. If you are looking for a little inspiration for your own winter wedding day, you won’t want to miss this elegant white and green winter wedding day in the city.
We were so happy to be a part of the amazing vendor team that worked together for this elegant museum wedding in D.C. and to have the chance to add our custom calligraphy to the wedding day stationery. This winter wedding day was another collaboration with Pineapple Productions, so we knew it would be a stunning and memorable wedding, captured expertly by Kate Headley.
While we did not create a custom wedding invitation suite for this winter wedding day, we did add our hand calligraphy to the wedding invitation envelopes, escort cards and place cards. Adding elegant calligraphy to your wedding day paper goods is an easy way to elevate the look and style of your wedding details.
Elegant Calligraphy
When the wedding venue is as historic and elegant as the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the wedding day stationery and paper details should match! For Juliet and Will’s classic winter wedding, we added our hand calligraphy to their escort card and place card details. I loved the rich emerald green color palette for the wedding stationery – anytime I can work with a colored ink is a treat and the rich green was perfect for a holiday season wedding.
For the wedding escort cards, the emerald green envelopes were calligraphed with the names of each wedding guest or couple in white ink. Inside the small envelopes, guests found their wedding table assignment. The escort cards were displayed atop an array of holiday tree ornaments, perfect for a December wedding!
We also had a hand in the place cards that awaited each wedding guest at their table. We elevated the simple white cards with our hand calligraphy in emerald green ink for an elegant addition to the white, gold and green wedding tables.
