If you are looking for a modern but timeless wedding invitation suite to match your elegant wedding day, you will love this real wedding stationery set design we are featuring today. Your wedding invitation suite does not have to have an abundance of details or intricate artwork to look and feel luxurious. A simple but modern design with a few elevated details can set the tone with your guests for a timeless and elegant wedding day as we did with this custom wedding stationery suite.
A simple color palette of ivory, black, and gold set the stage for this formal autumn wedding in Missouri that we custom-designed for our clients. Gold foil is an easy way to elevate any wedding invitation and with a few custom artwork details, this classic wedding invitation set was made even more luxurious and personalized to the couple’s big day.
Luxurious Gold
When working with a simple yet sophisticated invitation color palette of ivory and black, gold is an excellent way to make the invitation’s details really pop and give your wedding invitation a luxurious upgrade. For Kate and Ian’s custom wedding stationery, we chose an extra thick cardstock to allow for the gold foil-painted edges to shine on the wedding invitation and stationery insert cards.
In addition to the invitations’ golden edges, we also added pops of gold throughout the overall wedding stationery suite’s design. We letterpressed printed specific details on the invitation in gold, including the couple’s names and the wedding venue location which were both written in our signature hand calligraphy font. We also custom-designed a wedding monogram for the couple and letterpressed that onto the invitation in gold.
Custom Invitation Artwork
Another way to ultra personalize your wedding invitation stationery is with custom artwork design. In addition to the gold foil monogram used on the wedding invitation, reception card, and rsvp return envelope, we designed additional custom artwork for this sophisticated stationery set.
On the back of the weekend details stationery cards, a digital print nature motif of birds, fruits, and trees gave a nod to the wedding venue’s estate where the wedding reception took place. It may be a subtle detail, but adding a design to the back of your wedding invitation means that no detail is overlooked in your overall wedding design. This thoughtful touch is another way to personalize your wedding invitations and helps to set the tone for a luxurious wedding day from start to finish.
Perhaps our favorite place to add a unique touch to a wedding invitation set is the invitation envelope liner. This is often an overlooked part of the stationery design but is a great place to add a personal touch. For Kate and Ian’s wedding stationery, we created a custom watercolor artwork piece that was a replica of the cathedral’s ceiling where their wedding ceremony would take place. This extra touch adds a really personal piece to the wedding invitation suite and further creates a cohesive look for their stationery set where each element is intentionally designed, allowing their guest to get to know a little bit more about the wedding weekend to come.
A warm thanks to Sarah Bradshaw for photographing this timeless and elegant wedding invitation suite in shades of ivory with black and pops of gold with personal touches that we custom-designed for our couple’s fall wedding in the Midwest.
