One of our favorite parts of creating custom wedding invitations and stationery is getting to help our couples showcase their wedding style and encapsulate their wedding design in their stationery suite. One way to do this is to create custom artwork to be featured in the wedding invitation suite like we got to do for today’s featured custom wedding stationery set. Bright and colorful custom watercolor art with beautiful palm leaves and flowers became the focal point for this late summer wedding invitation set for a coastal Santa Barbara wedding.

Custom Monogram Crest
Diana and Leland’s wedding design was first inspired by a colorful bougainvillea growing near their wedding planner’s home. After settling on a beautiful wedding venue in Santa Barbara, California, they added in some coastal European details with lemons, dusty blue details, and rattan accents. We were tasked with creating a statement wedding invitation to capture all of these fantastic details and set the stage for their wedding day.
We began by creating a custom colorful monogram crest design that became the focal point of the wedding invitation suite. Calligraphy letters in blue represented our bride and groom, framed in a tropical floral and lemon accented border. The custom monogram design was used throughout the wedding stationery and day of paper details, being used on the wax seal and custom cocktail napkins.
The wedding invitation and day of stationery details were a mix of digital printing and letterpress for a truly custom design.
Colorful Watercolor Art
In addition to the eye-catching custom monogram crest we designed, we expanded the watercolor artwork to create a unique wedding invitation envelope liner. Colorful florals, tropical greenery and lemons popped against the dusty blue wedding invitation envelope.
For the custom die-cut vellum wrap for the wedding invitation suite, we added another pop of color for a playful design. Pink flamingos and lemons with subtle background florals greeted guests upon removing their wedding invitations from the envelope.
Personalized wedding day menus featured an expanded version of the floral and lemon border we created for the custom monogram crest, creating a bold place setting for each guest on the wedding day.
Unique Wedding Details
In addition to crafting a bold and colorful wedding invitation set, we added our hand calligraphy to a unique and eye catching acrylic wedding escort card display. Custom watercolor art graced an elegant signature drinks sign on the alfresco bar along with a dusty blue bar menu sign that perfectly complemented the custom monogrammed cocktail napkins.
