Real Invitation Suite: Celebrating a Decade of Love in Aspen

Our journey with a remarkable couple began in 2012 when we had the honor of designing their wedding invitations. Little did we know that over a decade later, LHDH would be crafting invitations for their unforgettable 10-year anniversary celebration in Aspen, Colorado.

When they first approached us to create the invitations for this momentous occasion, we couldn’t contain our excitement. Their love story had blossomed over the years, much like the beauty of Aspen itself, and we were determined to capture that magic in every detail.

A Mountainous Marvel: The Invitation

The focal point of the invitation was a true work of art—a blind, sculpted, embossed custom die-cut pocket folder meticulously shaped to resemble the iconic Aspen mountains. In the bottom corner, a simple yet powerful “10 Years” served as a heartfelt reminder of their incredible journey together. As you opened the pocket, you were greeted by a familiar sight: an aspen leaf motif, a subtle nod and throwback to their original wedding invitation design.

Inside this pocket of mountain magic, a world of adventure awaited. Each piece was carefully crafted, from the detailed ski-themed RSVP card to the snowmobile adventure card. All of them were letterpressed in both copper foil and blind debossed on handmade paper in shades of wheat and grey. As if that wasn’t enough, we incorporated a photograph of the couple from their wedding day, paired with a handwritten note that was included for each guest—a touching personal element that warmed every heart.

A Journey of a Thousand Memories: The Itinerary

A month before the anniversary trip, a detailed itinerary was sent out to the guests, providing a sneak peek into the adventures that lay ahead. Custom lasered leather luggage tags for each guest, a beautiful memento of the journey they were about to embark upon. The copper foiled cover, featuring white wood-patterned paper originally used in the couple’s invitation suite, added an extra layer of nostalgia. The tags were bound together with a rustic leather cord, making them not just a piece of paper but a keepsake.

Inside the packet, the full itinerary unfolded, complete with a custom-illustrated map of Aspen, arrival instructions, and a heartfelt note from the couple. The itinerary and luggage tags were presented in custom-made white suede boxes, each one blind-debossed with the couple’s ski aspen logo—a testament to their unique love story.

A Warm Welcome: Custom Canvas Bags and More

As guests arrived, they were greeted with custom canvas welcome bags, a gesture that spoke volumes about the couple’s thoughtfulness. Inside each bag was a map detailing the weekend’s itinerary, leather coasters bearing a custom design, and chocolates adorned with aspen leaf and ski logos—sweet reminders of the beautiful journey they were about to embark upon.

A welcome tag in the shape of an aspen leaf, laser-cut with precision and tied with leather cord, added a personal touch to each bag. And in their guest rooms, a tray awaited, adorned with the couple’s favorite signature beverages and accompanied by a cocktail card, setting the stage for cozy evenings of laughter and reminiscing.

In the heart of Aspen, amidst snow-covered peaks and the embrace of dear friends, this 10-year anniversary celebration was more than just an event—it was a testament to enduring love and the power of meaningful details. As we reflect on this incredible journey with our clients, we’re reminded that love, like the mountains, stands tall and steadfast, growing more beautiful with time. Here’s to a decade of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments in Aspen, Colorado. Cheers to the next chapter!
